A support and counseling program for grieving children and their adult caregivers
The Center for Grief and Loss is offering a support group for children 7 through 18 years old who have experienced the death of a friend or family member. A group for parents or guardians who care for those grieving children will meet at the same time as the children's group.

Highlights of the six-week Footsteps series:
- Age-appropriate counseling and a variety of expressive arts activities
- Assistance for adults with understanding their children's grief, and strategies to help children deal with the death of their loved one
- Trained facilitators work with the children and adults
- Program is overseen by a licensed mental health professional
Registration is required. Call (925) 887-5678. Suggested donation: $100 for 6-week course. No one will be turned away if they are unable to make a donation.
