Thrift Shoppes Partner with Local Groups

Hospice East Bay is fortunate to partner with six organizations that assist adults with disabilities to gain life and work skills. Every week participants from ARC Inroads, George Miller Center, On Track, RES for Success, Toolworks and Futures Explored volunteer at all five Hospice Thrift Shoppes. The work of over 135 participants and staff from these organizations contributes to the overall success of our shoppes. We are grateful for the collaboration and look forward to many more years of partnership.

ARC Inroads and George Miller Center are both programs with Contra Costa ARC, and were the first Adults with Disabilities organizations to volunteer at Hospice Thrift Shoppes more than 5 years ago.

On Track is part of Mt. Diablo Adult Education and addresses the needs of adults who have suffered an acquired brain injury.
Toolworks recently celebrated 40 years of service and is dedicated to providing the tools and resources to people with disabilities that promote independence, equality and personal satisfaction.

RES for Success, provides adults with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders an enriched environment in which they can become successful in academic, social, vocational and interpersonal pursuits.

Futures Explored, an innovative day program in Lafayette, provides life skills and work training to adults with developmental disabilities.
