Cindy presents Kay with award.

Every year, Hospice of the East Bay has the honor of celebrating over 300 volunteers who support our agency. This years' dinner was held in the Pleasant Hill Senior Center and was emceed by Christopher Joyce, Vice President of Human Resources. President and CEO Cindy Hatton personally thanked all the volunteers for their selflessness and dedication to the agency's mission.

Some volunteers took the stage and shared stories that illustrated the profound difference they make in the lives of our patients and their loved ones. These stories inspire and reconnect us with our mission.

Volunteers with five, ten and fifteen years of service were recognized with awards. Three special awards for service were presented this year: Sue Phelan received an award for twenty years of service, Renee Ross for twenty-five years, and Kay Aaker for thirty years of service!

We are grateful for the remarkable commitment and significant contributions made by our volunteers, who so generously share their skills, talents and hearts with Hospice of the East Bay.

This year the volunteers who were honored have a combined 225 years of service with Hospice of the East Bay!
