Over 250 attendees celebrated “A Night in Paris” on Saturday, May 16 at the Diablo Country Club, and helped to raise $180,000 in net proceeds for Hospice East Bay’s programs and services.

The Parisian-themed evening at Diablo Country Club included French music, can-can dancers, silent and live auction items, and cuisine paired with wine provided by the acclaimed Reynolds Family Winery. The Master of Ceremonies for the event was Trish Dickson, and Pauline Kaune of Orinda was honored with the 2015 Sue Bruns Award for Philanthropy for her many years of dedicated service to Hospice East Bay.

“The evening wouldn’t have been a success without the invaluable assistance of our guests, sponsors and 35 volunteers,” said Gala Chairperson Debora Masiel. “We surpassed our fundraising goal and had a partie fantastique.”

Planning is about to begin for the next Celebration of Care to be held on April 8th, 2017. The theme will be determined by the volunteer gala committee. Our thanks go out to our honoree Pauline Kaune, our chair Debora Masiel, and our dedicated volunteers who made the event so special.
