As a community-based hospice, we rely on the generosity of our donors to help provide the services that set us apart from other hospice organizations. We are blessed to have many community organizations and companies support us through events and sponsorships.

SLO Golf Tournament

For the past 22 years, a Martinez family has held a golf tournament in San Luis Obispo to benefit Hospice of the East Bay. Mike Nevares, his brother Jeff, and late brother-in-law Tom Gilbert, originated the fundraiser in 1993 to honor Mike’s mother, Mary Ann Nevares, and his mother-in-law, Vicki Menzhuber.

Always a successful golf tournament, SLO raised over $7,500 this year! On behalf of every patient and our entire staff, Hospice East Bay thanks the entire Nevares family and everyone who participated to make this such a memorable tournament.

Rossmoor Art & Wine

Friends of Hospice Rossmoor had another successful Art & Wine. Thanks to the fine selection of wine, appetizers and art, the event brought in $19,000! We would like to thank the wonderful artists who donated a portion of their proceeds to Hospice East Bay, as well as Stan and Ann Gedeon of the Creekside Grill for helping to procure the food and wine.

Blossoms for Barbara

Since 2012, Linda Karp and the Clayton Valley Garden Club have been brightening up our patients’ Valentine’s Days with colorful plants. This February they provided over 200 plants that were delivered by our clinical staff and patient volunteers to their patients. Linda began Blossoms for Barbara in memory of her mother to bring joy to those at the end of life and their families who were dealing with the grief of losing someone they love.

We are grateful to the Clayton Valley Garden Club for remembering our hospice patients and their families on Valentine’s Day and bringing a ray of sunshine into their lives.
